About Childosophy

Childospohy was founded in Victoria, Australia in 2006. Until 2015 it was known as Cosmos Child. The Childosophy Wellbeing System is a synthesis of philosophy, psychology and energetic sciences in a 10-step process that is based on the research of Dr Maxine Thérèse who has spent most of her adult life examining chakra theory as an integrative approach to children’s needs and wellbeing. The Childosophy system is suitable for children, teenagers and adults.

Using a research and practice-based approach to children’s wellbeing, Childosophy integrates energy medicine, chakra theory, kinesiology and intuitive psychology.

This unique combination of testing helps determine the symptoms to a specific issue that your child may be experiencing. Once it’s determined how these symptoms are ‘expressing’ the origin can be determined which will help them understand their emotions and assist them in dealing with them in the future.

The Childosophy system is offered in private consultations by certified practitioners. Each practitioner uses a muscle test and the 10 steps of awareness system to locate and determine why a symptom has occurred and brings awareness of the meaning of the symptom. Any challenge that your child faces can be understood when the unmet need is recognised.

About Dr MaxineThérèse

As a mother, teacher and practitioner of children, Maxine has seen many patterns in the ways that children respond to themselves and to life. One of the most important insights for Maxine was the recognition that children’s symptoms, behaviours, and physical issues all result from an unmet need within the child’s life.

Through her research and observation of children, Maxine realised that the models used to interpret what children really need were very limiting, not just for children but for how adults understand children as well.

Maxine completed her Doctoral Research in 2014 entitled, A Philosophy of Childhood: The Foundational Needs and Children’s Wellbeing. The thesis outlined the Foundational Needs Model for children’s wellbeing based largely on the chakras and the theory supports the practice of the Childosophy Wellbeing system. Maxine’s research has also been published as a book with Cambridge Scholars Press.
